Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Fit‑Out & Interiors
Location: Lincoln (with nationwide travel to project sites)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the commercial management of fit‑out and refurbishment projects from tender stage through to final account
* Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets and tender submissions
* Measure works from drawings and site information
* Procure subcontractors, materials and supplier packages
* Review quotations and negotiate best value solutions
* Prepare and submit interim valuations and applications for payment
* Manage variations, change control and cost reporting
* Prepare subcontract payment notices and final accounts
* Monitor project costs, cash flow and profitability
* Attend site visits, progress meetings and client meetings where required
* Work closely with project managers, design teams and directors to support successful project delivery
* Ensure commercial processes are followed in line with company procedures
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role or similar commercial position within construction, fit‑out or interiors
* Strong numerical, analytical and negotiation skills
* Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
* Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
* Full UK driving licence preferred

Desirable Qualifications
* Degree / HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline
* Knowledge of JCT contracts
* Experience within commercial interiors or refurbishment projects
* CSCS Card (preferred)
