RG Consultancy are working with a fantastic fast growing construction business based in Stockport who are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their small but growing finance team. Role Responsibilities
* Managing and maintaining the purchase ledger function for the accounts department
* Processing high volume purchase ledger invoices
* Bank reconciliation
* Payment runs
* Processing employee expense and company credit cards
* Some support with sales ledger, credit control, sending out invoices and chasing any over due payment, where needed
* Handling suppler account queries
* Managing the accounts email inbox
* Assisting with month end journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations
* Updating cashflow daily
* Assisting the management accountant with additional duties like year end and audit assistance
* Assisting where needed with monthly management accounts, system implantation/process improvements and any adhoc tasks where required
Person Specification
* At least 2+ years' experience within an accounts or purchase ledger role with the desire to have more exposure
* AAT qualified or studying would be an advantage, study support can be provided
* CIMA/ACCA studiers will also be considered
* Strong IT and systems skills particularly MS Excel skills and SAGE would be an advantage
* Previous experience working within a construction or similar business would be an advantage
* Ability to work in a fast paced, growing environment
