Construction Site Supervisor
We are looking for a Construction Site Supervisor, working for a major energy provider on an exciting energy transition project taking place in Leeds.

* Initial 8 month contract
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure all work is delivered safely, to the required quality standards, within schedule, and in full compliance with environmental requirements.
* Coordinate construction activities with contractors and consultants, ensuring all safety documentation and permits are in place prior to work commencing.
* Verify that construction progress and schedule updates are accurately reflected in contractor documentation and project records.
* Produce detailed daily site diaries and provide weekly progress updates to the CPPM and CPM.
* Engage and liaise effectively with local authorities, statutory bodies, landowners, tenants, community groups, and wider stakeholders as required.
* Attend joint briefings, inspections, audits, meetings, and supply chain events to support project delivery.
* Identify and assess project risks, ensuring they are understood, monitored, and escalated appropriately.
* Collaborate with Technical, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Project Services teams to support procurement activities and enable successful delivery of construction work packages.
* Capture and document lessons learned throughout the construction process to support continuous improvement and organisational knowledge sharing.
Experience
* Proven experience supervising and managing site construction activities across significant work packages within a relevant engineering discipline.
* Experience working within medium to large construction delivery teams, managing interfaces and aligning activities in the best interests of the overall project.
* Strong track record in developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
* Strong Electrical Background
Essential Functional / Technical Skills
* Possesses relevant Engineering or Supervisor qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, CITB).
* Holds appropriate safety certifications such as SSTS, SMSTS, or NEBOSH.
* Competent in reviewing SSoW—including RAMS and PoWRAs—along with environmental mitigation plans and Quality Inspection & Test Plans.
* Able to conduct Safety and Quality audits/inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented on site.Strong understanding of project management fundamentals including scope definition, planning, cost control, risk management, quality, and commercial considerations.
* Proficient IT skills including accurate diary keeping and producing clear, concise weekly reports.
* Capable of contributing to constructability reviews and Lessons Learned activities.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with project teams, contractors, and third parties.
