Account Manager This role is for an account manager covering the North of the UK, reporting to the UK Sales Manager. Emphasis will be on covering High Value Accounts, notably Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively seeking out opportunities to build new business relationships across all microscopy applications and markets, with the exception of Industrial and Clinical customers. This will be achieved through brand promotion and active selling strategies with the implementation of key skills gained from DBS training. Essential to this position will be an enthusiasm to drive the business in a competitive market, combined with detailed and accurate pipeline activity managed through SFDC. The sales focus will be on high end widefield microscopy solutions, but the role also includes prospecting, generating new business, and overseeing our strategy for our confocal and specimen preparation product groups in this geography. Accurate orders forecasting and a commitment to achieve budget is crucial. OUR EXPECTATIONS Proven Sales record in a similar environment. Ability to drive business success by demonstrating consistency and hard work to deliver sales growth over a period of time. Technical ability to demonstrate Microscopy and Imaging products. Strong communication skills and sound business acumen. Effective time management and personal organisation. Good technical skills gained in a life science environment or similar scientific sales role would be a distinct advantage. Education Whilst a degree in the life sciences or physical sciences is preferable, of equal value is strong sales experience in a relevant industry. A background in microscopy would clearly be an advantage, but is not essential.
