Your new role
Based at their Buckinghamshire site, I am recruiting an Operations / Factory Manager.
This is a senior role, reporting directly to the Operations Director.
You will oversee approximately 100 staff members, ensuring the delivery of world-class manufacturing standards and supporting the profitable growth of the business.
You will embody and promote thepany's values, drive continuous improvement, and ensurepliance with all regulatory requirements.
The role will be to lead manufacturing and site maintenance activities with strong leadership skills driving the business forward.
The site has been earmarked for future redevelopment in the foreseeable future. Key responsibilities of the role will include:
1. Lead from the front on allpliance matters, including promoting and supportingpliance management systems, ensuring all staffply with productpliance obligations, and actively participating in corrective actions around internal audits.
2. To be a strong leader, oversee & develop the production team, setting clear goals and monitoring progress.
3. Ensure all productpliance requirements are met, including regulatory controls such as ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
4. Manage current assets and present business cases for capital investment, ensuring timely and budgetpliant implementation.
5. Set goals for operations functions to drive profitable growth and develop a lean culture focused on process improvement, including automation.
6. Deliver high-quality products that exceed customer and market demands, fostering a culture of ‘right first time every time'.
7. Lead and be the face of Net Zero projects across the site.
8. Develop succession plans, talent development, and management with managers/team leaders and key staff, fostering a culture of investment in employees.
What you'll need to succeed
9. Relevant business management qualification/training (degree-level education is desirable).
10. Experience of CAPEX delivery
11. Experience in heavy manufacturing is essential to be considered for this role.
12. A proven leader with a minimum of 5 years' factory management experience, including a demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites at once.
13. Outstandingmunication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for coaching and mentoring team members.
14. Strongmitment to continuous improvement, with expertise in Lean manufacturing and other business improvement methodologies.
15. Highly organised, self-driven, and numerate with strong analytical abilities.
16. Proficient inputer use and able to travel with a full, clean driving licence.
