We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic patient focused individual to join our well established reception team at Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre.
The successful candidate will love working with people, have excellent interpersonal skills, great communication, be positive and courteous. The ability to maintain a professional, caring, calm, friendly service to all our service users in a busy environment is essential.
Hours for the post are full time which is 37.5 hours to be worked over 7 days.

Main duties of the job
The post covers a range of reception duties including, greeting patients, covering the reception desk, assisting patients with the ED Streamer check-in system, answering the telephones, dealing with general queries etc. in an accurate, timely and professional manner.

Bloomfield Medical Ltd also manages the Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre which is an open access service based in Whitegate Health Centre, Whitegate Drive Blackpool. The Urgent Treatment Centre aims to deliver convenient accessible primary care services and is open every day of the year from 8am to 8pm. Whitegate Drive Health Centre will be the main base of work.
Bloomfield Medical Ltd operates a number of services including Bloomfield Medical Centre a 7 Partner GP Practice which is based over two sites in Blackpool, Bloomfield Medical Centre on Bloomfield Road and Grange Park Health Centre on Dinmore Avenue. Our services are diverse, forward-thinking enabling us to deliver care to meet local priorities in relation to deprivation, chronic disease, improved access, migration from secondary care and more efficient commissioning.
Job responsibilities
Reception is thefirst point of contact for patients attending the Urgent Treatment Centre. The receptionistis the communication link between the clinical team and the patient whilst inthe waiting room and will keep the patient updated on predicted waiting timesfor treatment, working closely with colleagues from the Urgent Treatment Centreto create a collaborative team approach to the reception cover.

Qualifications
* Good standard of education or experience
Experience
* Experience of dealing with the general public
* Office/Clerical experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft software
* Experience of working in a NHS setting or a health care environment
* Experience and knowledge of Clinical Computer Systems eg. Adastra, Emis
Knowledge and Skills
* Ability to work as a team member
* Able to exercise initiative in handling matters of minor importance not clearly defined within the scope of the job description
* Organisation and prioritising skills
* Good communication skills both written and oral
