The Avocet Trust is a charity that provides lifetime support to vulnerable adults with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. Based in the Hull and East Riding areas, the organization offers a range of person-centred services tailored to individuals. These services include Residential Services, Short-Stay Services, Supported Living, and Day Care.
Role and Responsibilities
* Supporting the needs of the Service and service users with a flexible work schedule covering 35 hours per week at £14.00 per hour.
* Service user personal care and aid in attending appointments, administering medication and maintaining high quality of care for clients.
* Managing petty cash, supervising staff, using initiative and working unsupervised.
* Performing audits and supervisions, and creation of staff rotas.
* Attend/chair meetings, liaise with health professionals, and review support plans and risk assessments.
* Work in partnership with the Management Team and Registered Manager to ensure smooth running of the Service.
* Work in an acting position to cover Managers leave and be part of the on-call system.
Candidates Must Have
* Minimum of NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, and experience as a Senior Support Worker.
* An awareness of the needs of vulnerable people including personal care, medication application and communication.
* An understanding of recent and relevant legislation.
