Senior Manager – Creative Division (Practice Firm)
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Senior Manager to join the Music and Entertainment team at a top 50 practice firm in London. The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA-qualified, with a strong background in accounting and compliance. This role requires direct client interaction, ensuring smooth coordination of compliance requirements while working collaboratively with advisors as an integral part of a client’s financial team.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and address project delivery issues, providing solutions to partners, key staff, and clients.
* Manage complex client problems, offering support to team members on general client matters.
* Provide proactive, commercially focused advice to clients.
* Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Play an active role in recruitment, training, and HR activities as required.
* Act as a mentor for team members, offering guidance and constructive feedback.
* Oversee team WIP, billing, and fee recovery, ensuring financial targets are met.
* Supervise team members, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
* Develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring client retention and identifying new business opportunities.
* Work with partners to identify and execute additional client projects while seeking referrals for new business.
* Maintain high client care standards, ensuring expectations are exceeded at all times.
* Stay updated with technical knowledge through professional reading and courses to fulfill CPD requirements.
* Prepare and present projects, new client pitches, and proposals, supporting business development efforts.
* Ensure compliance with all internal practice management policies and procedures.
* Delegate tasks effectively, setting clear objectives and deadlines while monitoring workloads.
* Take a hands-on approach to complex projects, ensuring accuracy and quality of service delivery.

* Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with accounting software.

* A commercial mindset, capable of delivering strategic and practical advice to clients.
* Confident in mentoring staff, providing guidance, and supporting career development within the team.
* Able to handle high-pressure situations, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are managed effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
* ACA/ACCA qualified.
* Minimum of six years' experience in accountancy.
* Experience managing audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and international auditing standards.
