EDGE INNOVATE is currently recruiting for a Paint Shop Supervisor to join our busy Paint Shop. The Paint Shop Supervisor will be responsible for managing the Paint Shop facility to maintain a cost-effective and efficient manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Delivery:
o Supervise daily operations of the paint shop team.
o Provide guidance on all paint shop operations, including blasting, prepping, painting, and repairs.
o Coach and mentor staff to develop skills.
o Estimate painting times, staffing, and costs to optimize production.
o Develop and improve manufacturing methods considering safety and quality standards.
o Plan workspace utilization.
o Perform quality checks before and after jobs.
o Minimize rework requirements.
o Coordinate with the Fitting Shop to meet production targets.
o Report progress to the Production Manager.
o Communicate with management regarding capabilities and schedules.
o Record performance data to establish standard rates and improve efficiencies.
o Streamline purchasing to reduce costs.
2. Performance Improvement:
o Apply the company’s performance management system effectively.
o Support staff in setting and achieving KPIs.
o Promote high performance standards and professional development.
o Address performance issues constructively.

Person Specification:
Essential: Degree qualification, 2-3 years supervisory experience, on-the-job heavy machinery painting experience.
Desirable: Management of a Paint Shop, leadership qualification.
