The Role
As a Sales Assistant you’ll be supporting your store team with driving sales performance and the day‑day running of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet and exceed targets through KPI delivery.
* Deliver exceptional customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Provide a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
* Sell the story, not the discount, by sharing a passion for the product with in‑depth knowledge of our range.
* Take ownership of wine knowledge, continuously learning about products to support a WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
* Maintain the physical appearance and upkeep of the store internally and externally.
* Perform all operational tasks required for day‑day running of a Majestic Wine store, including wine delivery, merchandising stock deliveries, and contacting customers to drive sales opportunities.
* Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and share ideas with the wider team to implement solutions.
* Remain fully compliant, safe and legal by following internal policies, processes and completing mandatory training.
* Act as an example of Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, feeding back to the Store Manager as appropriate.
* Understand and comply with opening/closing procedures as a key holder, and operate the store independently when managers are absent.

* Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service to every customer.
* Self‑motivated, able to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.
* Can‑do attitude; passion for seeing problems through to solutions.
* Adaptable and resilient to meet ever‑changing business demands.
* Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
* Wine knowledge desirable; passion to learn more essential to pass WSET Level 2.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than six penalty points.
