No matter what your specialist subject is, if you are a recent graduate or looking for a change in career, GSL Education Hull can help. Our Hull office is looking for aspiring teachers to work as Cover Supervisors in local Secondary Schools. This is a great way to gain paid hands-on experience, before going on to complete your teacher training.
As a Cover Supervisor you will:
Manage classroom behaviour of up to 30 pupils, ensuring students stay on task.
Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subject areas, including English, Maths, Science and Humanities
Respond to any questions or queries students may have.
Follow individual School behaviour and safeguarding policies.
The ideal Cover Supervisor will:
Have an Education-based or Core Subject-based Degree.
Aspire to have a career in Education, in roles such as a Pastoral Manager or Teacher
Be able to quickly engage and build rapport with pupils.
Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
Hold a Child Only Workforce DBS that is registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education
