Job Description

This role involves leading a team to deliver excellent customer service and ensuring the store runs smoothly.

* Friendly and thoughtful service – you'll give friendly, welcoming, easy, helpful and thoughtful service every day, often taking ownership for managing the store and handling challenging situations
* Develop your team's capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone's voice is valued and respected
* Make sure that the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational
* Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to make shopping a great experience for our customers
* Support your store manager by deputising when they're not working and delivering a variety of HR processes
* Lead the way when introducing new products and services in your store – work closely with your team to implement change and encourage open and honest feedback
* Build relationships and get involved in your local community, supporting your Store Manager with the delivery of the local community plan


Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

* Liaising with colleagues and customers to resolve any issues
* Coaching and mentoring team members to improve their skills and performance
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and presentation in the store
* Managing stock levels and undertaking regular stock takes
* Assisting with training and development programs for team members
* Participating in the development and implementation of store policies and procedures
