THE JOB
As our Business continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for a Document Controller to join an established Project Engineering Team in Cardiff.
As Document Controller, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Team, providing effective and efficient document control operations. Ensuring the seamless management and flow of critical project information.
The position plays a crucial role in ensuring our project documentation are organised effectively and efficiently within the parameters of the project's progress from start to finish.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Co-ordinate all activities related to the document control procedure, including technical documents, drawings and project correspondence.
Ø
Input document data into standard registers, ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date.
Ø
Ensure that controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are issued to the appropriate staff, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable.
Ø Issue and receive controlled documentation, log issues and receivers, and create general electronic transmittals to the project, customer and suppliers.
Ø Assist the project team with the issue, receipt and tracking of all engineering and supplier deliverables through to close out and handover stage.
Ø Maintain accurate registers and actions lists.
Ø Act as focal point, for all team document management matters.
Ø Assist with the co-ordination of document management across the project, including policies, protocols and practice.
Ø Providing cover for other staff members as and when reasonably requested.
Ø Any other administrative duties the Company may reasonably request.

DESIRABLE / BENEFICIAL
Ø Previous Document Control experience
Ø Knowledge of construction practices and standards
Ø Knowledge in use of spreadsheets, database and job specific software
Ø Experience in setting up and using electronic document management systems.
Ø Good knowledge of Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
Ø Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports.
Ø Ability to multitask
Ø Friendly positive attitude and ability to work with other members of the team.
