Civil Engineering and Groundworks Contractor
I am currently working on behalf of a well:established and highly respected civil engineering contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing business delivering civil engineering and infrastructure schemes across residential and commercial developments.
The Role
You will take commercial responsibility for a number of live civil engineering / groundworks packages, managing projects from procurement through to final account.
Duties will include:
: Preparation and management of cost reports and CVRs
: Procurement and administration of subcontract packages
: Managing valuations and applications for payment
: Variation management and change control
: Cashflow forecasting and cost control
: Negotiation and agreement of final accounts
: Close liaison with site teams and senior management
Projects typically involve groundworks, infrastructure, drainage, roads and associated civil engineering works.
The Ideal Candidate
: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
: Experience working within civil engineering or groundworks
: Strong understanding of subcontract management and cost control
: Confident managing multiple live projects
: Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
: Ability to work closely with operational teams
This position would suit a Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a secure, long:term role within a well:run contractor where commercial decisions are valued and progression is realistic.
In return, a competitive salary of A GBP 50,000 : A GBP 65,000 per annum is offered, along with a supportive working environment and long:term career stability.
