Finance Manager - Redruth - £35-45,000
Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively reengaged by our longstanding a client, a highly successful and very well established logistical services business based in Redruth, who seek to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to join the team. The business experienced an upturn in sales during the pandemic and has never been so profitable, hence the finance function is growing in complexity and transactional volume. This is a permanent, full time and site based role that will take the reins from a long term contractor also introduced to the business via Trial Balance Consulting.
The role is supported a highly experienced and extremely friendly Group Financial Controller and the successful candidate will support a small transactional finance team. This is a family operated business and the Finance Manager will play a key role in liaising with colleagues across all departments, providing informative financial commentary and assisting with ongoing business projects. Key responsibilities of the role to include:
- Production of monthly management accounts with analysis
- Day-to-day accounting using Sage 50
- Assist the Group FC in the production of statutory accounts
- Prepayments and accruals
- Management of the accounts receivable/payable function, seeking ways to improve and automate the process
- Supervision of the credit control function
- Act as an authority for supplier payment runs
- Production of VAT returns
- Deputise for Group FC when required
For this role we’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager, probably operating at a similar level or ready to take a step up into a supervisory role. Candidate’s will ideally, though not essentially, be part/fully ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, although AAT qualified with demonstrable vocational experience will be considered. The role calls for a dynamic, technically proficient and passionate individual with excellent communication skills. Strong MS Excel, and ideally Sage experience required in addition to sound general IT Aptitude.
