As a Staff Nurse on our Trauma and Orthopaedic ward, you will coordinate and provide skilled nursing (without direct supervision) to patients, in accordance with responsibilities under the NMC Code of Conduct.
1. You will contribute to the continued development of nursing, including supervising junior nurses and support staff.
2. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, both internal and external to the organization, to facilitate holistic, seamless care delivery for all Trust patients.
3. The post holder will work as part of our Trauma and Orthopaedic ward team to provide safe, effective, and efficient care.
4. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care under the indirect supervision of senior staff.
5. You should be able to demonstrate procedures, supervise unqualified staff, and work independently once the key learning outcomes of the foundation programme are achieved.
6. You will liaise and communicate effectively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and timely discharges.
7. You will act as an advocate for patients and carers, ensuring individual care needs are met.
