Job Summary
We're looking for a professional driver with excellent driving skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring that our clients' belongings are transported safely and efficiently.
Candidates with team leading experience will have an advantage, as we are looking for individuals who can take on additional responsibilities, such as supervising and supporting other team members during jobs.
Responsibilities
* Operate delivery vehicles, including vans, to transport goods to various locations.
* Ensure the safe loading and unloading of products in compliance with company policies.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance as needed to ensure optimal performance.
* Desirable: Experience in a team leading or supervisory role.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure safety on the road.
* Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and product organisation.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a removals driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
* Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while meeting delivery deadlines.
* Physical capability to lift heavy items as required during loading and unloading processes.
