The Role
This job offers variety; no two days are the same. You'll be part of a small, friendly team supporting an amazing young lady with a mild learning disability and PTSD. Your main responsibilities will include supporting her with daily living, socializing, maintaining relationships, and living independently.
You will help her realize her potential, achieve her goals, learn new skills, and participate in her hobbies and interests, which include animals (she has a cat and loves horses), walks, knitting, gardening, music, shopping, and watching TV and films.
Shift Patterns
Our 14-hour weekly contract typically involves working one shift per week, including a sleepover. Shifts may include weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis. Sleepovers are paid additionally at £100.80 per sleepover.
About You
No experience is necessary; we recruit based on values and transferable skills, providing all necessary training. We will fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and annual SSSC registration fees. Ideally, candidates will be drivers, but this is not essential.
* A caring and compassionate attitude
* Good communication and organizational skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
* A creative drive to improve lives
* Confidence in using computers
* A love of animals (as she has a cat in the household)
Having a full driving license is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
