To deliver the following:


Overview

Mobile Engineer role to join the team located at sites across the Northeast of England between Darlington and Felling. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions are maintained around critical building systems and to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the sites.


Responsibilities

* Travel to sites across the advertised locations. Full UK driving license required.
* Carry out routine PPM (to SFG 20) on all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists.
* Complete reactive tasks throughout the building and proactively identify areas for improvement; reactive calls also include concessionary stores and fabric items.
* Diagnose and remedy plant faults and defects promptly to maintain plant in serviceable order.
* Ensure suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance and reactive works; provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
* Complete all relevant paperwork regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and pass it to the contract administrator without delay.
* Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
* Develop a good working relationship with CBRE staff, subcontractors and client representatives.
* Provide a Safe and Healthy working environment, including wearing uniform and PPE at all times.
* Maintain a professional image of CBRE Managed Services at all times.
* Keep up-to-date shift logs at all times.
* Keep all CBRE Managed Services plant rooms locked, clean and tidy.
* Supervise and monitor subcontractors’ works on site during maintenance.
* Arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice; be flexible in working patterns.
* Undertake lone working when required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
* Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.
* Ensure tasks are completed with appropriate health and safety awareness/implementation.
* Maintain awareness of and compliance with contractual KPIs/SLA.
* Keep Computer Based Maintenance system (SI LOCAL) up to date; ensure PPM and reactive tickets are closed with accurate data.
* Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.
* Provide holiday and emergency cover as required, potentially at sites not normally covered.
* Undertake any other tasks as directed by the account management team.


Qualifications & Skills

* A good basic education; good written and spoken English.
* Basic Mathematics skills.
* CITY AND GUILDS qualification in a relevant field.
* Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
* Calm manner, able to work under pressure.
* Able to make sound decisions when needed.
* Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg.
* Able to ascend and descend vertical access equipment.
* Able to work at heights.
* Team player; able to work with CBRE Managed Services and Alstom representatives at all levels.
* Good PC skills.


Knowledge

* Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures; working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.
* Formally trained in electrical/mechanical maintenance.
* BMS knowledge.
* Mechanical and commissioning experience.
* Recognised Health and Safety Qualification, such as IOSH.
* Engineers must demonstrate knowledge of UPS, Generators, HV, PDU's, Crac units or equivalent; ability to fault-find using graphical information and current alarm data.
* Understand the demarcation between maintainable assets and BPL maintained assets within laboratory and production environments.


Experience

* Mechanical maintenance skills.
* Experience maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to defined criteria.
* Working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.


Circumstances

* Must be willing to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns.
* Must have full UK driving license.
