We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives and supporting inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
* Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
* Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs
* Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
* Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals where required
* Support pupils with personal care needs if necessary
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND
* A patient, compassionate, and positive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Understanding of additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
