We are currently looking for an experienced FEA Engineer on behalf of our client, to support the development and validation of next-generation high-performance vehicle systems. This role sits at the intersection of simulation, design and manufacturing, where precision engineering meets cutting-edge innovation.
The FEA Engineer will:
Develop and refine FEA methods, standards and workflows to enhance simulation capability and efficiency.
Build, execute and interpret linear, nonlinear and explicit models to assess strength, stiffness and crash performance.
Support design optimisation for composite and metallic structures, including bonded assemblies.
Correlate simulations with physical testing and validate results using hand calculations and engineering judgement.
Provide clear, concise analysis reports and actionable recommendations to design and project teams.
Collaborate with design, aerodynamics and manufacturing teams to ensure structural integrity and performance targets are met.
The FEA Engineer will have:
Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
Strong experience in structural FEA using Hypermesh (OptiStruct / Radioss) and Simcenter Nastran.
Proven ability to develop methods and improve analysis workflows.
Solid understanding of composite materials, bonded joints, and nonlinear/explicit analysis.
Skilled in hand calculations to support and validate simulation results.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex findings clearly and confidently.
