Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for! At our Peterhead services, we support vulnerable adults living in the community to live the best lives possible by providing person-centred support to help them live as independently as possible. Each person we support has their own support plan, which details what support they would need, so you can expect to provide support in all aspects of their daily lives. This might include helping with personal care, medication administration, financial support, attending community groups, preparing meals and attending social activities. We are looking for flexible individuals who are keen to support people to try new activities and provide positive reassurance and guidance to help improve independent living skills. We provide support 24 hours a day from Monday - Sunday and all contracted staff would be required to work some weekends. We are looking for full time and part time Workers.
Your Values
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health.
If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.
You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.
We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System.
During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
