A lovely new role working for a global household business that owns many well-known brands. They seek an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend areas, including MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad range of indirect category management experience are encouraged to apply.
Role and responsibilities:
* Create strategies and oversee their delivery, including achieving annualized savings
* Develop group-wide category plans to ensure alignment across the organization, leveraging supplier relationships
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders from Directors to Board members, using strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand supplier performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance using reporting tools and feedback
* Demonstrate procurement leadership by embodying company values and promoting procurement excellence
* Deliver strategic projects and ensure optimal service and cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect procurement within large, complex organizations
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics, and Operations
* Procurement experience in the private sector, ideally within a global company
* Experience managing complex international projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers
* Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic approach to procurement and supplier management
* Excellent communication skills across cultures and countries
* Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
* MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential
