You are an ambassador of the company and its values at all times. Among other things, this means exhibiting excellent leadership and collaboration, crystal clear communication, and a positive, motivational demeanour. You also must be self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. THIS ROLE: As a Senior Producer you will be expected to lead the production efforts of complex, high-value projects, ensuring that quality, budget, and good working processes are maintained, and that the client and the company expectations are met. In this elevated production role, you are expected to model outstanding producing skills at all times. You will be expected to lead the highest priority projects and campaigns at Hammer Creative. As the primary lead of projects, you are expected to initiate and guide the process with a steady hand and motivational demeanor, ensuring all team members are well-informed and set up to do the best work possible. Likewise, as the main point of contact for clients, it’s essential for the Senior Producer to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a time-sensitive manner at all stages of production. BIG PICTURE RESPONSIBILITIES: All responsibilities listed below are just the beginning. As a member of the production team, you will frequently encounter situations you are not familiar with. Embrace that! Ask questions, be receptive to learning new skills, and always be ready to recommend an improvement to a process. Production at Hammer is defined by the ability to be flexible, detail-oriented, and productive regardless of the situation. Facilitate healthy production at Hammer Creative and anticipate your project's needs from beginning to end. Always follow through on tasks assigned to you. Work closely with key creative and production stakeholders to ensure everything is operating smoothly and all critical production tasks are being completed. You will be tasked with managing multiple projects at varying scales and working cross-departmentally with virtually every discipline at Hammer. You will be responsible for managing your day-to-day priorities across projects and will need to be in constant communication with the wider global team. Keep the project’s Account Lead informed of a project’s progress and be proactive in identifying and escalating issues and your proposed solutions to them. Build and maintain a strong rapport with clients by being collaborative, consistent and proactive in identifying and addressing their needs. Be vigilant with maintaining project scope and schedules, flagging early and often when a project may be going out of scope. Be ready to take on new and unexpected challenges. Since we’re a new branch of the company, there are endless opportunities to pursue new ideas and identify potential growth paths, and this position will be a key part of shaping the company’s short and long-term future Earn trust at every level of the company by demonstrating leadership, critical thinking, and ensuring team morale is high. Be a key partner in forging strong relationships with the U.S. office. Make sure handoffs during the overlap hours are smooth, be proactive about getting all necessary info from the US production team, and disseminate that info to the UK team. Likewise, make sure the US team has all the required information for their day and help contribute to any process or workflow adjustments that further strengthen global production efforts. IN DETAIL: Lead and manage the entire creative project lifecycle from briefing to final delivery, and be a key sounding board for all members of the team. On larger campaigns that require multiple producers, you may be assigned by the Executive Producer to lead in a supervisory role. It will be your responsibility to make sure producers are on task and the larger campaign as a whole is running smoothly. Serve as the team leader of each of your projects - keep morale high, help prevent burn out/prompt time off as compensation for long hours, and have some fun making cool stuff? Define and monitor project scope, including timeline/production schedules, deliverables, resources and budgets, ensuring projects deliver on time and within budget. Assess and report how each project is tracking against the budget to the designated project account on a weekly basis, identifying solutions for any scope creep or inefficiencies. This includes reconciling logged staff time and expenses. Develop intuitive and efficient project plans and budget estimates for new work. Foster a collaborative environment by ensuring key creative team members, including yourself, are involved in briefings, brainstorms, reviews, etc., while also managing the team’s time by only including team members who are essential to that step of the process. Work with Operations to continually evaluate, adjust, and uphold departmental processes and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and work/life balance, including developing the process/workflow documentation as needed. Tailor production workflows to best support each project’s unique needs. Evaluate project development and guide the team in ensuring the project’s creative vision and high-quality standards are realized both internally and externally. Own and drive all internal and external project meetings to make sure the meeting is as productive and efficient as possible. It is your responsibility to develop a useful meeting agenda prior to each meeting, ensure team members have done what’s needed to be prepared for the meeting, and to guide conversation. Clearly communicate project plans, processes, status, objectives, timelines, direction and feedback to internal team members as well as clients. Any verbal communication should always be followed up with a written recap. Work closely with those in charge of bandwidth management to schedule both internal and external creative and production resources as far in advance as possible, and continually assess bandwidth to make recommendations for expansion and contraction as necessary. Schedule and coordinate the work of writing/creative, editorial, game capture, and art departments as is required by individual jobs. Support the Recruitment & Resourcing Director in helping to onboard contract and full time editors, writers, creative directors, and producers. With the assistance of a Project Coordinator or Associate Producer, create, manage, organize, and distribute all project information and documentation, including project or vendor briefs. Keep the project’s Account Lead informed of a project’s progress and be proactive in identifying and escalating issues and your proposed solutions to them. Build and maintain a strong rapport with clients by being collaborative, consistent and proactive in identifying and addressing their needs. Maintain an extensive and comprehensive knowledge of each brand/project in order to ensure all deliverables are meeting client and internal expectations. Guide, consolidate, and occasionally contribute to internal creative feedback. Review and relay client notes to all departments. Associate Producers and Coordinators are responsible for compiling, distributing, and storing the written versions or recaps of the feedback, but it’s your responsibility to make sure they are done correctly and in a timely manner. Ensure all notes are addressed before sending an asset to the client for review or delivery. If a note is not addressable, be sure to clearly communicate to the client as to why. Ensure all vendor and client contracts are executed correctly. Follow up with clients on outstanding payments when directed to do so by the Director of Creative Operations. Delegate work to and oversee the performance of Associate Producers and Coordinators assigned to your projects. Help foster the growth and development of support roles (PCs & APs), even if not working with them directly. Be a sounding board for them to make sure they are well-informed and understand all workflows and processes.
