Job Description
We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our established agile team, that supports innovation, learning and collaboration.
Reporting into our Engineering Director, you will ensure that the team follows the highest technical standards abd support Agile methods to deliver high value outcomes.
Main responsibilities:
1. Work in an outstanding Agile technical team
2. Build data pipelines and data lake
3. Deliver quality software
4. Collaborate with the risk, security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS) and industry standards related to data privacy and security
5. Understand where there are overlapping technical requirements in your team and other teams and help build out technology roadmaps
6. Codebase ownership
7. Technical Application ownership
Qualifications
8. Lead Engineering experience at a large organisation
9. DevOps & IaC tooling - Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins
10. Strong experience of developing on Apache Spark/Hadoop
11. Significant knowledge of AWS cloud services including (but not limited to) AWS Glue, S3, StepStrong
12. Experience building data pipelines and Data Lake
13. Significant experience of programming using Scala or Python.
14. Configuration as code principles and API integration
15. Ability to analyse, investigate and compare large data sets when required
16. Experience with automated testing methodologies
