Overview
37.5 hours per week (Mon - Fri) – a position within a market leading company in the manufacture and supply of natural stone and innovative concrete hard landscaping products. We serve the construction, home improvement and landscape markets. Our mission is "Creating Better Spaces"; we are a successful FTSE 250 company with Superbrand status since 2010. This role supports keeping products compliant, optimising mix designs, and driving performance across sites. You will handle technical queries, build relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues, and work closely with operations, sales, procurement and the Central Lab. You will contribute to keeping products and processes compliant across the national network, conduct materials trials in the central lab and live plants, test raw materials with procurement and suppliers, and drive cost savings through the F4G programme. Building strong relationships with suppliers and Plant Managers, you will support mix design changes, prevent downtime, and help develop new products and concepts. You will lead technical audits, prepare for BSI and internal audits, and maintain close links with the central lab for testing requirements. You will provide expert support on site quality issues, visit customer sites when needed, and deliver reports to keep activities on track.
Responsibilities
* Keep products and processes compliant across the national network; conduct materials trials in the central lab and live plants.
* Work with Procurement and suppliers to test raw materials; drive cost savings through the F4G programme.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, Plant Managers and internal teams; support mix design changes and product development.
* Lead technical audits and prepare for BSI and internal audits; coordinate with the Central Lab for testing requirements.
* Provide expert support on site quality issues; visit customer sites when needed; deliver reports to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
* Experience in a construction or manufacturing related field.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to present information clearly and concisely.
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Experience of ISO 9001 Quality Management.
* An understanding of Marshalls products is advantageous.
