Pensions Administrator
Salary of £25,000 - £33,000, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience annual bonus potential, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising with service and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates

Location: Royal Mail, Pond Street, Sheffield, S98 6HR - this role requires you to attend our Sheffield office 3 days each week, including Wednesdays.

About the role
As a Pensions Administrator, you will calculate and process members’ benefits based on their entitlements under the rules of the Royal Mail Collective Pension Plan. In this role, you will develop an understanding of all member interaction processes, via a variety of interaction options (including team e-mail inboxes and online via web services).
You will:
• Develop and maintain positive, effective, and professional working relationships with customers, clients, stakeholders, and Royal Mail colleagues, delivering consistently excellent value-added service
• Communicate member pension entitlements and resolve member queries
• Deliver the product to agreed service and quality standards, in accordance with Plan rules and HRS service specification
• Take responsibility for own professional development, ensuring technical knowledge remains up to date
• Play a full part in developing and delivering continuous improvement activities in accordance with our PASA Gold Standard and Continuous Improvement frameworks.
• Exhibit behaviours that exceed our customer’s expectations.
About You
• Demonstrable experience as a pensions practitioner with a broad understanding of DB and /or DC pensions – highly desirable
• Educated to at least A level standard with strong English Language and Mathematics at GCSE level (grades C to A*)
• Possess or be willing to study for a professional pensions qualification (e.g., Pensions Management Institute APE, CPA or DPA) via a Workplace Pensions Apprenticeship scheme
• Proven experience of delivering a professional, customer focussed service.
• Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to interpret and explain complex scenarios to non-technical audiences. Experience working with large data sets with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrably strong written and verbal communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of all Microsoft Office software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Proven planning and organisational skills, including experience of delivering to demanding timescales
• Ability to work alone or in small groups.
