Job Description Deputy Nursery Manager Up to £30,300 per annum | 40 hours per week This is a rare opportunity to join an Outstanding Ofsted-rated nursery where outdoor learning, creativity, and exploration are central to children’s everyday experiences. This nursery offers children the chance to learn beyond the classroom, with access to a private woodland area and dedicated gardening spaces that encourage hands-on discovery, confidence, and independence. The nursery creates a calm, nurturing environment where children are supported to thrive through a balance of child-led play and meaningful learning opportunities. We’re looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the leadership of this inspiring setting. Ideal for a current Third in Charge or experienced Deputy Manager, this role offers the chance to play a key part in maintaining outstanding standards while helping to lead and develop a passionate early years team. What We’re Looking For Level 3 Early Years qualification – essential Previous senior experience within a nursery setting, such as Third in Charge or Deputy Manager Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements Passion for outdoor learning and child-led education Strong leadership and organisational skills A warm, nurturing, and positive approach Excellent communication skills and the ability to support and motivate a team What’s On Offer Up to £30,300 per annum Discounted childcare Life assurance Competitive annual leave Christmas closure Training and development opportunities Pension scheme Health and wellbeing programme Key Responsibilities Supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership of the nursery Helping to maintain the nursery’s Outstanding standards of care and education Supporting staff development and promoting best practice across the setting Encouraging outdoor learning opportunities and child-led exploration Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues Supporting safeguarding, compliance, and operational standards Creating a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment for children to learn and grow How to Apply If you are an experienced senior early years professional looking to progress your career within an Outstanding nursery setting, we would love to hear from you.
