Join us as a Highways Engineer in our Transportation team and help drive the digital transformation of the highways sector. You'll work within collaborative design teams across the UK and beyond, shaping projects that improve how people live and move. As part of our Midlands Highways and Active Travel team, you'll contribute to nationally significant highways and infrastructure projects such as M42 West Coast Main Line (WCML) and M25 junction 10, alongside a diverse portfolio of local authority schemes. Our clients include Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council, Herefordshire Council, and Telford & Wrekin Council, delivering highways, active travel and development‑led infrastructure across the region. Your role
* Be part of the team responsible for the technical delivery of highway infrastructure projects.
* Using highways design, drainage and other software packages to deliver technically robust designs.
* Mentoring and coaching team members and taking responsibility for their technical development.
* Assisting Project Managers on technical aspects of designs from project initiation through to completion.
* Delegating work to team members, programming deliverables and monitoring progress.
* Support the business in work winning activities including representing the business at networking events and preparing tenders.

* A hard working and flexible individual, who is a team player, is reliable, proactive and shows initiative.
