The Legal Aid Agency
We are an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). We are responsible for operationally administering the legal aid fund to provide criminal and civil legal aid advice to people in England and Wales.

Contract Management and Assurance
Contract Management and Assurance (CMA) work closely with our provider base to ensure the smooth running of our contracts and assure the delivery of legal aid.
Provider Records.
The Provider Records team is a Business-Critical team and an integral part of the Legal Aid Agency. They work closely within Contract Management & Assurance and with all areas of the Legal Aid Agency co-ordinating activity, ensuring all administrative processes are efficient and systems accurately updated in accordance with time standards.
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
* Ability to analyse provider change requests to identify areas of particular risk.
* Responsibility for risk management when updating Provider Records.
* Ability to work with agreed SLA’s and turnaround times.
* Responsibility for liaising with Contract Manager colleagues and providers (Solicitors & Advocates) to ensure provider records amendment requests are interpreted/applied accurately.
* Report progress on activity, including any issues which may impact quality or efficiency to Provider Records Team Leader and update monitoring tools/trackers/spreadsheets.
* Conduct Quality Control checks on the work of colleagues within the team and provide feedback in an appropriate manner.
* Acknowledge and respond to complaints in writing and, if required, escalate appropriately.
* Liaise with IT Service Desk concerning system issues.
* Ensure communication with all stakeholders is timely and effective.

The MoJ offers Hybrid Working arrangements where business need allows. This is an informal, non-contractual form of flexible working that blends working from your base location, different MoJ sites and / or from home (please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas). All employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in an office, subject to local estate capacity.
Some roles will not be suitable for Hybrid Working. Similarly, Hybrid Working will not suit everyone’s circumstances. Arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate(s) and subject to regular review.
For nationally advertised roles, the successful candidate(s) will be appointed to a MoJ office location, which may include their nearest Justice Collaboration Centre or Justice Satellite Office. This will be discussed and agreed on the completion of pre-employment checks.
Some of MoJ’s terms and conditions of service are changing as part of Civil Service reform. The changes will apply to staff joining MoJ who are new to the Civil Service. Staff joining MoJ from other civil service employers will transfer onto the new MoJ terms if they are already on 'modernised' terms in their current post or onto 'unmodernised' MoJ terms if they are on 'unmodernised' terms at their current post.
