Technical Manager (Financial Advice) - Hybrid - with Travel required to London and Cheltenham

About the role:
Working as part of the Proposition team, you will take responsibility for the client advice templates, ensuring they align to the proposition, are client friendly and meet regulatory expectations. You will also take responsibility for maintaining all advice guidance and advice policy for the business, ensuring it is meeting the proposition and regulatory requirements, and support the communication of this to the business.
You will also provide technical support to the business in a clear and precise manner whilst building and maintaining technical material to promote self-serve across all areas of Financial Planning.
About you:
You will be an experienced Financial Services professional, and hold CII Chartered status. You have excellent technical knowledge and are able to build rapport with colleagues. You have worked within Financial Planning or Wealth Management previously and have a strong awareness of the compliance needs in documenting financial advice. You have strong written communication skills and have the ability to put yourself in the clients shoes, ensuring that documentation is designed with them in mind. You may have worked as a technical specialist previously or within a Compliance or Paraplanning role.
The successful candidate will need to be based at our Cheltenham or London Office on average 1 or 2 days a week, with the option to work remotely the remaining days. Due to the nature of this role, travel is required to Cheltenham or London on a monthly basis so the ideal candidate will the located close to one of the offices. Key Responsibilities include:
* Management of client advice templates in line with the Proposition and regulatory changes.
* Helping to develop and improve all client advice and ongoing servicing documents.
* Assisting with the communication to relevant teams where changes are made
* Provide "how to guides" for advice documentation
* Technical Support to the Proposition team and assisting with the provision of technical assistance to wider teams
* Develop and maintain technical material for the business
* Assisting with the maintenance of the Advice Policy Guidance and subsequent implementation
* Assist with the provider research and analysis for bulk transfers
* Assist with case reviews from compliance that are linked to the proposition, advice guidance or suitability.
* Assist with review of supporting and technical tools and software.
* Support of projects steered by the proposition team
Essential skills and experience
* Qualified to CII Chartered
* Awareness of the compliance needs in documenting financial advice
* Excellent written communication skills
* Ability to put yourself in the clients shoes and ensuring documentation is designed for them whilst adhering to company standards and appropriate regulatory requirements
* Ability to put yourself in the Financial Planner and other users shoes.
* Strong attention to detail
* Up to date with regulation in the industry

Salary and benefits
Circa £55,000 (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
