Location: Rotherham (Walter Pondern Office)
Working Hours: Full-time, office-based, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Taylor Woodrow are currently recruiting for a transactional, process‑driven Buyers Administration role focused on supporting the procurement function within the Great Grid Upgrade project. The position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of routine order processing.
The purpose of the role is to ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, manage supplier communication at an administrative level, and support the wider procurement team by handling repetitive, transactional workload - enabling senior buyers to focus on strategic procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Order Processing
* Receive quotations via email or Connects and process these into purchase orders.
* Verify pricing, supplier details, and quotation accuracy before raising orders.
* Issue purchase orders to suppliers and notify site teams accordingly.
Administrative & Transactional Procurement Support
* Handle invoice queries and liaise with finance as required.
* Log, track, and update order information within internal systems.
* Expedite orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure agreed delivery timescales.
* Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Stakeholder Liaison
* Communicate regularly with suppliers to chase updates or clarify order details.
* Liaise with site teams to confirm order placements and resolve basic queries.
* Escalate issues to senior procurement staff when required (e.g., delays, discrepancies, disputes).
Team Collaboration
* Work closely with the Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer, and the wider procurement and site‑based teams.
* Support colleagues within the department during peak periods or when dealing with repetitive ordering tasks.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong administrative background (procurement experience is beneficial but not essential).
* Ability to follow structured processes with accuracy and consistency.
* Good communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal teams.
* High attention to detail and confidence handling data-heavy tasks.
* Reliable, organised, and able to manage repetitive day-to-day workloads..
