Role Summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant (AP) to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you’ll support day-to-day finance operations, focusing on accounts payable and reconciliation tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Main Accountabilities
* Process invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate coding in the system
* Reconcile supplier statements and maintain strong supplier relationships
* Handle internal and external finance queries professionally
* Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
* Investigate discrepancies and ensure resolution
* Reconcile company credit card transactions and analyse monthly spend
* Support month-end processes and assist with ad-hoc finance tasks
* Carry out general finance administrative duties
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of ownership. You’ll be comfortable working independently and collaboratively, and able to adapt to change with a positive attitude.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts payable role
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication skills across all levels
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Fast learner with a proactive mindset
Desirable
* Experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar accounting software
* Understanding of eCommerce or fast-paced business environments
* High emotional intelligence and adaptability to change
