My client is recruiting for a Head of Buying and Merchandising for their multiple flagship stores across Belfast.
Rare opportunity to join the Senior Leadership team of a growing NI retailer.
Working closely with Brand Partners and suppliers, building long term sustainable business plans to ensure optimal commercial return and exclusivity where appropriate.
Leading the commercial buying team to source the highest quality goods and services, examining trends, sales records, and inventory levels of current stock. The expert in keeping up to date with potential changes that may affect the supply and demand for products and materials for the business.
You will be responsible for;
* Leading the commercial partnership with senior retail leaders within the business.
* Leading a team of experienced buyers within an expanding luxury retail brand, to include watches, gem rings & gemstones, jewellery and associated packaging.
* Lead negotiations on provisions, pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
* Review historical trends on inventory and recommend actions.
* Responsible for timely purchasing and delivery of materials required.
* Interact closely with suppliers and quality control to resolve quality issues.
* Solve problems with orders and resolve all receiving and invoicing discrepancies.
* Continual monitoring of stocks in both value & units.
* Agree budgets/targets for the commercial department and buyers.
Criteria;
* Strong experience in a Lead Buyer or above role, in Luxury Retail or similar.
* Experience in Operating Systems and Software, including ERP systems
