The engineering team at the Oatridge campus deliver programmes of learning and teaching to candidates from across Scotland. Specialising in land-based engineering, the team aim to provide fundamental skills which will allow candidates to service, maintain and repair machinery used within the forestry, agricultural and ground care sector.
About the Role
We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team at the Oatridge campus of SRUC, with a particular focus on land-based machinery. You will be a competent land-based engineer who has a relevant (SCQF level 6/SVQ level 3) qualification in the maintenance, diagnostics and repair of land-based machinery. It is desirable that you have experience in mentoring apprentices; however, no formal teaching experience is required. The successful candidate must be willing to work towards further qualifications. Applicants should have good IT skills which are essential in the delivery, development and support of the curriculum area.
Responsibilities
* The candidate must provide proof of a SCQF Level 6 (level 3 in England) qualification in a land-based engineering or in a relevant sector.
* A current full driving licence is required as travel to remote areas not covered by public transport may feature in this role.
