Business Development Manager
Capital Equipment / Conveying Solutions
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established supplier of engineered equipment and solutions for the wood, biomass, and wider conveying sectors. With solid backing from international operations and ambitious growth plans, the business is investing in expanding its presence in the UK market.
This role offers the chance to drive capital equipment sales and play a key part in growing the customer base across the country.
Responsibilities
* Lead business development activities for silo, conveyor, and truckloader products, focusing on capital sales (equipment supply without installation).
* Build and manage relationships with key customers including system installers, general contractors, and end users.
* Identify new market opportunities and help strengthen the company’s position in the UK.
* Work closely with internal teams to coordinate on projects and shared customer requirements.
* Liaise with operations and solutions teams for full installation projects when needed.
* Support coordination with aftermarket teams where appropriate.
* Deliver on agreed sales targets and contribute to wider business performance goals.
The Candidate
* Proven track record in capital equipment sales, ideally within engineered systems for the wood, biomass, conveying, or related sectors.
* Strong technical understanding with a background in engineering, production engineering, or similar.
* Commercially focused, results-driven, and experienced in winning new business.
* Skilled communicator with excellent relationship management and negotiation abilities.
* Organised, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong IT skills.
* Degree-qualified in engineering or technical disciplines (or equivalent experience).
