Office of the CFO Assistant Manager – Edinburgh / Aberdeen / Glasgow An exciting opportunity to join a growing and ambitious Business Services team. We are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful and rapidly expanding professional services firm seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join its Busines Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with clients, solving complex business challenges, and providing strategic financial insight. The role offers a broad mix of financial reporting, management accounting, forecasting, business advisory, and client relationship management responsibilities. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, helping them gain clarity over their financial performance while supporting key business decisions and future growth. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of accounting and finance services to clients while supporting and developing junior team members. Key responsibilities will include : Preparing management accounts and financial reports Producing and reviewing statutory financial statements Building and maintaining strong client relationships Liaising with external auditors and managing audit processes Preparing cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial models Supporting clients with business planning and strategic decision-making Delivering ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as required Managing your own portfolio and ensuring exceptional client service delivery Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members Working collaboratively across the wider business to deliver value-added solutions Identifying opportunities to support clients with additional services and solutions About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have : Essential Experience Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) Experience gained within practice, industry, or a combination of both Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills Experience preparing management accounts and financial analysis Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities A proactive and solutions-focused approach Strong organisational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Desirable Experience Experience working with cloud-based accounting platforms Exposure to outsourced finance, virtual FD/CFO, or business advisory services Experience implementing technology-driven finance solutions What's on Offer Exposure to a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors A varied and commercially focused role with significant client interaction Opportunities to develop leadership and advisory skills A collaborative, supportive, and ambitious working environment Genuine career progression within a growing business Applicants must have a full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
