Our client is a fast-growing UK electric vehicle charging network, delivering rapid and ultra-rapid charging infrastructure powered by 100% renewable energy. With sites across retail parks, shopping centres and high-footfall destinations nationwide.
The role
You'll manage grid connection applications and support the early stage development of new EV charging sites, working closely with DNOs and internal teams to move projects from pre-construction through to connection. You'll sit within the development team and take ownership of the connections process, supporting Head of Design on delivery.
What you'll do
* Manage DNO protection and connection applications end-to-end
* Handle early stage project management for new sites from pre-construction through to connection
* Liaise with DNOs, ICPs and internal stakeholders to progress applications efficiently
* Track and manage a pipeline of connection applications across multiple sites
* Support the wider development team with pre-construction activity
* Monitor connection timelines and flag delays or issues early
What we're looking for
* Experience in grid connection or connections management within EV charging, solar or a related utility or infrastructure sector
* Working knowledge of DNO processes and protection applications
* Early stage or pre-construction project management experience
* Comfortable managing multiple applications and projects at the same time
* Organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment
