The Role
As Financial Controller, you’ll report directly to the CFO and play a pivotal role in shaping financial performance.
What You’ll Own
Financial Management & Reporting
1. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closings with precision and pace
2. Deliver accurate financial statements, management accounts, and consolidated reports
3. Own intercompany reconciliations and variance analysis to inform strategic decisions
Budgeting & Strategic Planning
4. Partner with the Management Accountant to build budgets and rolling forecasts
5. Provide insights on cost control, investment opportunities, and margin optimisation
Tax & Compliance
6. Oversee VAT, corporate tax, and indirect tax filings across UK entities
7. Collaborate with tax advisers to optimise transfer pricing and minimise risk
8. Support statutory and group audits with confidence and clarity
Treasury & Risk Management
9. Manage cash flow and FX exposure across GBP, EUR, and USD
10. Drive automation and process improvements across ERP and reporting systems
Leadership & Collaboration
11. Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
12. Act as a strategic business partner to senior management
What You’ll Bring
13. Fully qualified ICAEW / ACCA / CIMA
14. 5–10 years’ experience in financial management, ideally with chartered accountancy exposure
15. Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with SAGE 200 and ERP systems
16. A sharp eye for detail, deadline discipline, and proven team leadership
