Job Opportunity: Managing Quantity Surveyor
Are you an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge with a growing and reputable company? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a national main contractor operating across East Anglia. The role involves working on a £50m coastal defence and pumping station project on the East Coast.
Our client is looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function. They prefer candidates from a main contractor, regional contractor, or subcontractor background with significant civil or civil infrastructure experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. See the bigger picture to commercially deliver larger projects.
2. Build and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
3. Manage contracts effectively, ensuring proper procurement and payment to subcontractors.
4. Monitor project progress, identify opportunities to reduce costs, and maximize value for money.
5. Handle changes to the project sensitively, considering their impact on costs.
6. Grow professionally through exposure, mentorship, and training.
7. Build a valuable professional network.
What We Offer:
* Salary up to £85,000 per annum (depending on experience).
* Car or Car Allowance.
