Your role will be pivotal in driving process improvement and simplification across the retail pricing and promotions execution within Asda by identifying commercial opportunities and end‑to‑end process improvements that drive key business metrics such as sales, profit and cost savings.
Working as part of a central team responsible for the end‑to‑end process of retail pricing and promotions execution, you will collaborate with multiple key business functions in Asda and maintain a close relationship with the Asda technology team to support system enhancements that deliver commercial benefit to the business.
In this role you will deliver process improvement and efficiency for the Commercial function across all aspects of the retail pricing and promotions process, focusing on a user‑first approach that enriches and optimises pricing execution upstream to achieve seamless execution in‑store.
You will become a subject‑matter expert in applications integral to the process, such as Anaplan and SAP, and identify opportunities to maximise the benefits of these solutions within Asda’s environment.
The commercial business function is your primary customer; you will prioritize efficiencies that support these stakeholders and continually seek new technologies and opportunities to optimise the end‑to‑end process.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current operational processes around retail pricing and promotions execution and a proven track record of delivering process efficiencies on a large and complex scale within a sizeable organisation.
You must be comfortable using and understanding technical systems and how these systems integrate into the full end‑to‑end pricing execution process.
The applicant should be engaging, collaborative, and a strong, clear, decisive communicator and decision‑maker when working across multiple stakeholders.
Problem‑solving and solutioning are key skills; you will be able to make clear decisions in the interest of the overall business.
