We are seeking to recruit an exceptional Imaging Support Assistant, with a passion for working to the highest standard, to join our dedicated team in MRI. Radiology at York Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust (YTHFT) is a forward thinking Department committed to staff development and the provision of an effective and efficient patient centered Imaging Service. Imaging Support Assistants are key members of the multi-disciplinary team involved in the MRI service provision. Working within MRI, will provide a new challenge, and will be ever-changing and rewarding.
The MRI unit currently operates between 7.30am -8.00pm 6 days per week, with a plan to extend operational hours to 7.30am-10.30pm 7 days per week. The successful candidate will be required to work 7.5 hour shift 5 days per week in a shift pattern which operates across our operational hours. Responsibilities
* Assisting the MRI Radiographers in day to day MRI service provision; the ISA role is varied and challenging.
* Undertaking pre examination checks for patients undergoing MRI scans, preparing and positioning patients in the MRI equipment.
* Provision of a safe patient transfer service throughout the departments and wards on beds, trollies and in chairs.
* Work to support flexible working requests where possible and discuss requirements with the recruiting manager.
