Grounds & Maintenance Manager – Job Advert
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Grounds & Maintenance Manager to join our team at one of Darwin Escapes’ beautiful holiday destinations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high standards, enjoys leading teams and is passionate about maintaining a safe, attractive and fully operational environment for guests. As a manager, you will oversee all aspects of grounds and maintenance operations across the park, ensuring everything is maintained to the highest possible standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who is organised, proactive and confident in managing people, processes and performance within a busy holiday park environment.
This is a full-time position working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays.

In the beautiful Cornish countryside just a short drive from the coastal town of Newquay. With wide-open meadows and charming woodland surrounds, it’s an ideal place to unwind, enjoy nature, and take in the peaceful rural setting. The retreat offers stylish lodges with modern interiors, private outdoor spaces, and hot tubs, along with on-site amenities including a café, play areas, and activity zones. With nearby beaches, scenic walks, and vibrant local attractions, Piran Meadows is the perfect destination for a relaxing and refreshing getaway.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all grounds and maintenance operations across the park
• Lead, manage and develop the grounds and maintenance team
• Plan and manage workloads, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Ensure all buildings, accommodation and outdoor areas are well-maintained and presented
• Manage routine and reactive maintenance, repairs and improvement projects
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment and grounds
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Manage budgets, control costs and oversee stock and purchasing of materials and equipment
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers where required
• Respond to maintenance issues and guest feedback in a timely and professional manner
• Drive continuous improvement in standards, processes and team performance
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or grounds management role
• Proven experience in a leadership or management position
• Strong practical knowledge of general maintenance and groundskeeping
• Good understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high standards

Additional Information:
This role will require flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays in line with business needs.
This is a hands-on role that involves both managerial responsibilities and practical tasks. You will be expected to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and undertake physical duties such as lifting, carrying and operating equipment when required.
