A highly supportive project and cost management consultancy based in East London are searching for a technically minded Project Manager to join their project management team and support the delivery of projects in commercial, residential, retail and healthcare sectors.
The Company that the Project Manager will join:
The Project Manager will be joining a director led consultancy that have a strong pipeline of projects in the retail, healthcare, commercial and residential sectors. The Project Manager will be working alongside a growing team 10 consultants including Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Associate Directors and Directors.
The Project Manager role:
The Project Manager will be confident at carrying out pre and post contract duties across different stages of project cycles. The Project Manager will be supporting the delivery of projects that range from refurbishment of client assets, CAT A/B fit out of workplaces to new build residential developments with values up to £150m.
The Project Manager will be experienced managing JCT and NEC Contract types and a client-facing individual who can communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
You will be responsible for:
* Collaborating with whole Project Management team to drive schemes forward to completion
* Communicating with external parties such as contractors and sub-contractors
* Provide support/mentorship to junior Project Managers
* Reporting progress feedback on Projects to the Senior Directors weekly
* Collaborating with Quantity Surveyors during all phases of project lifecycles
* Reviewing costs with Cost Consultants regularly to ensure Schemes are within Budget constraints
* Attending weekly site visits
* Arranging and attending client meetings
* Ensure all works are compliant with safety and quality standards
Project Manager requirements:
* Experience working for a UK based construction consultancy
* Previous delivery of experience of projects in residential, commercial, healthcare or retail sectors
* MRICS qualified or working towards it
* Pre and post contract experience
* BSc/MSc Construction Project Management
* Capable of managing Schemes simultaneously
* Can commute to East London
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
