What you will be doing:
With experience from the NHS or private care, you will lead the nursing team to provide high-quality care and support to young people and adults with acute mental health needs, while supporting colleagues and promoting teamwork.
As a Ward Manager, you will empower recovery, deliver supervision, manage ward budgets, work alongside the Senior Nurse to manage the on-call service, and lead by example. You will act as a role model to all nursing team members, lead care teams, and foster a positive learning environment that makes a difference and changes lives for the better.
Other duties include:
* Providing Clinical Leadership and expertise
* Providing leadership and guidance to support a unified service and engaged workforce
* Ensuring high standards are maintained and improved within the Clinical Governance framework
* Utilising and supervising all nursing staff effectively
* Being an expert resource on Nursing care of service users within the specialty and playing a key role in the multidisciplinary team
* Maintaining a positive and collaborative environment to enable ward members to reach their potential, providing high-quality care, staff welfare, and training
* Taking charge of the ward as designated
Qualifications and skills:
* A relevant nursing qualification
* NMC registration
* A positive attitude, caring, and compassionate nature
* A commitment to high-quality care, values, and evidence-based practice
* Relevant experience in a similar environment
* Proven leadership skills

Join Potters Bar Clinic, providing care for young people and adults with acute mental health needs and personality disorders in an established 24-hour care setting. The CAMHS Tier 4 Low Secure services are for young people aged 13–18.
Potters Bar Clinic is situated in a residential area, just a minute's drive from the M25, with easy access via bus from Potters Bar Train Station and a bus stop outside, facilitating convenient commutes.
