We now have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated person to join the SSQ as Regional Business Manager, covering our Eastern territory,
Overall Purpose of Role
· To manage commercial aspects of trade within defined geographic territory.
· To promote the company’s products, within the defined geographic territory, delivering the agreed sales and margin budgets.
· To uphold the company’s reputation via professional conduct in the market.
· Account management of existing ledger of trading customers (merchants), via considered stakeholder management.
· To identify new trading account targets, to maintain a regular flow of new business into the territory.
· To develop and nurture an extensive and productive contact base covering roofing contractors, architectural practices, surveyors, main contractors, local authorities, housing associations, developers; whilst respecting the relationships held by RBM.
· To identify new build & refurbishment project opportunities and secure firm specifications for SSQ products.
· To grow specification pipeline of projects, establishing solid foundation of mid to long term revenue, monitoring and tracking planning and tender stages for each secured project, ensuring SSQ specifications are upheld.
· To liaise with stakeholders throughout the supply chain to ensure all parties have confidence in using SSQ, working closely with clients and contractors alike to provide valuable advice and support at various specification and build stages.
Candidate Profile
· Commercially competent. Capable of leading advanced negotiations with regional clients.
· Strong knowledge of pitched roofing advantageous, natural slate preferable
· Experience of associated supply chains.
· Specification sales experience, preferably with strong network of architectural & surveying contacts.
· Thorough understanding of applicable British and European standards / legislation
· Strong knowledge of construction industry / build cycle
· Exceptional sales skills and professionalism
· Excellent problem solving and solution selling skills.
· Experience of delivering training would be advantageous.
