Are you ready to make a difference in the wastewater sector? We’re on the lookout for a Section Engineer to join our dynamic Natural Resources team at our Thames Water site in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

Location: On-site at Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – Flexible and part-time hours may be available, just let us know!
Your Role
As a detail-oriented and technically savvy Section Engineer, you will be a vital part of our progressive and delivery-focused team. Your expertise will help ensure that our major project at Harpenden meets all engineering and technical compliance standards.
In this role, you will:
* Act as the main technical adviser on-site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
* Interpret design documentation and ensure that all work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
* Support construction teams with technical queries, resolve design conflicts, and drive value engineering initiatives.
* Manage and coordinate temporary works designs and approvals in line with site requirements and program.
* Monitor and record construction progress, providing accurate technical input for project reporting and planning.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* A Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline, along with a CSCS and SMSTS Card.
* Experience in a civil engineering or construction environment, particularly within the Water sector.
* A Full UK Driving Licence.
