Quantity Surveyor Liverpool £50,000 - £55,000 My client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing all costs relating to building & maintenance projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts. Your primary goal will be to help ensure that construction projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables. Conduct feasibility studies, cost planning, and value engineering. Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting. Monitor project progress and provide financial reports to stakeholders. Assess and process variations and change orders. Conduct regular site visits and valuations. Negotiate and control costs throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with health, safety, legal, and quality standards. Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office and industry-related software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, AutoCAD). Knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC). Preferred Qualifications: Membership with RICS or another recognized professional body (or working towards it). Experience across residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with BIM and digital surveying tools.
