Brief Description
Network Rail are looking for a Scheme Delivery Manager to join the team in Milton Keynes. This is an opportunity to m anage the delivery of Network Rail's national apprenticeship and graduate schemes and oversee the quality of delivery and learner experience.
About The Role (External)
* Contract Type: Permanent
* Salary range: Band 3.B £46,701to £55,411 per annum
* Location: The Quadrant, Milton Keynes (Hybrid Working 60% of your time in the office)
Please note: Interviews for this role will take place on week commencing Monday 15th December 2025.
Role Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day delivery of the apprenticeship and graduate schemes including training delivery and end point assessment (EPA), apprentice and graduate check-ins, mentor/buddy programme to deliver best in class interventions.
* Establish a safeguarding culture where apprentices and graduates know what it means to be safe, how to behave appropriately towards others and how to recognise if they or others are at risk or experiencing harm.
* Develop a safety culture through the apprenticeship and graduate scheme delivery so that apprentices and graduates think about safety first and act to reduce risk.
* Manage and complete continuous improvement activities through to completion to improve the learner journey including quality of education and learner experience.
* Work Collaboratively with external and internal stakeholder to enrich and contextualise training content to the rail industry.
* Monitor and report apprentice and graduate data including progress against an agreed dashboard and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) so that apprentices and graduates make timely completion and so individual learner plans (ILPs) can be implemented if required.
* Work in collaboration with the Development Scheme Manager to transition scheme development into delivery to meet key objectives.
* Deliver apprenticeship and graduate schemes that are embedded with equity, diversity, and inclusion to support Network Rail becoming a truly diverse organisation.
* Manage day to day interactions with training providers and the Training Delivery team to provide effective training delivery.
* Manage the interface with line managers so that the apprentices and graduates are receiving suitable placements to support scheme objectives.
* Collaborate with other Scheme Delivery Managers to share best practice and small to medium sized projects that span across all schemes.
What are we looking for?
* Knowledge of safeguarding
* Knowledge of Ofsted and ESFA regulations
* Experience of large-scale apprenticeships and graduate schemes
* Experience of leading a team
* Experience of Microsoft 365
* Experience of contractual and finance management
What would set you apart when applying?
* Experience of railway engineering or infrastructure operations
* CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Learning and Development or Human Resources or relevant experience.
