This role sits within the Audience Intelligence team, working on the Barb long term contract to measure TV and video viewership in the UK. The Barb service at Kantar is a complex one, including a wide range of departments and disciplines. This role requires an enquiring mind capable of understanding complex processes and one able to liaise with multiple teams. The analyst will also work directly with the client and therefore needs to be able build strong and productive working relationships. This role has a particular focus on SVOD (subscription video on demand) content. As part of the measurement of total video in the UK, Kantar has been commissioned by Barb to measure the audiences at a content level of SVOD services, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, AppleTV, Paramount and YouTube. This involves the identification, curation and continual updating of a library of SVOD titles for measurement, in order that viewing to new titles may be measured as soon as they are uploaded onto the services. The analyst will be responsible for defining and editing this catalogue, in collaboration with Barb, and so knowledge of and an interest in TV content, particularly subscription video on demand content and trends is important. Other responsibilities include database management of the SVOD content library, performing quality control and testing of assets in the library. They will also need to interrogate viewing data to investigate issues and answer client questions. Over time the analyst will also be expected to assess, recommend and implement improvements to processes. Training to fulfil these tasks will be provided. Job Role Requirements SVOD Content Measurement Tracking, selecting and prioritising for measurement all upcoming content on SVOD services (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, AppleTV, Paramount, YouTube). Working with the client to agree priorities Managing the upload of identified content into the database Overseeing database quality control Communicating with clients on SVOD measurement Analysing viewing figures for video on demand services for regular reporting and ad hoc requests Investigating potential issues in the data, including responding directly to client queries.
